Associate Principal Scientist - Tides Downstream Processing Expert

Is sought for a permanent role in Macclesfield, UK. The position involves setting the scientific direction for downstream process development of peptides and oligonucleotides, leading multidisciplinary teams, and driving innovation in scalable, sustainable processes.

Responsibilities include designing and executing experiments, interpreting data, resolving technical challenges, and implementing advanced technologies such as chromatography, membrane filtration, and amorphous isolation.

The role requires a PhD or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field, with substantial industrial experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology process development.

Candidates must demonstrate expertise in downstream unit operations, process optimization, and leadership in complex technical projects.

Experience in peptide and oligonucleotide processing, process modeling, PAT, and automation is highly desirable.

The role demands strong communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
