Homelessness Officer needed in Macclesfield Paying £15.84 per hr Full time hours on a temporary basis Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed Section 184 homelessness assessments in line with legislation and statutory guidance.
Provide specialist housing advice to residents facing homelessness or housing difficulties.
Develop and manage personalised Housing Plans (PHPs) to prevent or relieve homelessness.
Work closely with partner agencies, including social care, domestic abuse services, private landlords, supported housing, and voluntary organisations.
Maintain accurate case records using the council’s case management system.
Make decisions on priority need, intentionality, local connection, and eligibility.
Identify support needs and make referrals to relevant support or safeguarding agencies.
Attend multi-agency meetings where required to support vulnerable clients.
Explore creative housing solutions to maintain tenancies or secure suitable accommodation.
