Position: Service Coordinator / Housing Support Worker

Temporary to Permanent Service Coordinator / Housing Support Worker

Salary: £25,184.25 per annum or negotiable Contract: 3-month temporary to permanentLocation: Macclesfield (travel required, mileage reimbursed)Hours: Part time – 19 hours per weekDBS: Enhanced (Adults Barred List)Lone Working: YesShifts: Rolling rota – 1 week earlies, 1 week lates, 1 weekend in 4

About the Role

We are working in partnership with a reputable Housing Association who are expanding their team and seeking a dedicated Service Coordinator / Housing Support Worker.

You will support adults living in supported accommodation, holding a caseload of 4–5 clients and providing around 5 hours of direct support per week per person. Support includes welfare checks, appointments, tenancy sustainment and practical assistance to build independence.

This role involves lone working and delivering trauma-informed, person-centred support to help clients stabilise, progress and move into permanent housing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop personalised support plans and deliver one-to-one sessions.
  • Provide housing-related support, including tenancy sustainment and move-on planning.
  • Carry out welfare checks, safety checks and respond to emergencies.
  • Identify and act on safeguarding concerns.
  • Maintain accurate digital records and documentation.
  • Work with housing partners and external agencies to coordinate support.

About You

Essential:

  • Experience in supported accommodation or a similar support role.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding.
  • Experience with support planning, risk assessment and key working.
  • Able to stay calm and de-escalate challenging situations.
  • Comfortable working a rota and lone working.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trust.
  • IT-literate and able to handle confidential information appropriately.

Desirable:

  • Experience using digital record systems (e.g., Pyramid).
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Confident working independently.
