What you will do:
  • Chair cared for children's reviews or CP conference meetings and oversee other related meetings as required by the Safeguarding Unit.
  • Monitor the Local Authority's performance as a corporate parent, ensuring the implementation and appropriateness of care plans.
  • Make recommendations for actions needed to address a child's needs, always considering and including the child's views.
  • Alert senior management to any failures in case review or timescale adherence and address instances of poor practice using appropriate channels.
  • Report on positive practices while contributing to the enhancement of services for children under protection plans.
  • Collaborate with partners, agencies, service users, and carers to ensure coordinated services compliant with legislation and best practices.
  • Engage in service development activities, including audits and evaluations, to drive continuous improvements in service delivery.
  • Utilise information systems effectively, ensuring they are used correctly to provide necessary data for the authority and statutory requirements.
