This position is open to staff working at the Trust in the 'ECT Family' this includes current East Cheshire NHS Trust employees,both NHSP and ECT bank staff, ISS staff and volunteers at the Trust. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from applicants not listed within these groups.

Main duties of the job- Accept deliveries into Receipts and Distribution warehouse
- To stow warehouse stock in line with department guidelines.
- To deliver goods as requested medical products as per agreed schedule.
- To deliver caged/palletised/loose goods to all Trust units and departments, ensuring they are left as directed in a safe and appropriate place.
- To ensure all required delivery paperwork is correctly sorted, completed, and filed by the end of each day.
- To ensure all types of urgent deliveries are made as appropriate and directed.
- To collect and return goods to Goods Inwards as required.
- To assist with the preparation of goods for delivery to units including the breakdown of mixed cages and palletised deliveries as required.
- To assist with the matching of internal delivery paperwork to goods coming in and putting these goods in the relevant location for onward delivery.
- To ensure the return of empty cages/pallets to the correct storage locations in the Receipts and Distribution warehouse for collection by NHSSC, Warehouse or other authorised users.
- GCSE's 9-4 (A-C) in Maths & English and NVQ level 2 in either business administration or related subject or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Supply Chain / Logistics NVQ qualifications
- Previous demonstrable experience of dealing with customers
- Demonstrable experience of working in a store / Goods inward environment
- Demonstrable experience of using Microsoft office software such as Excel and Word
- Proven knowledge of supply chain processes
- Proven knowledge of electronic stock management and eProcurement systems
- Good communication skills, written and verbal, with ability to demonstrate fluency, clarity and effectiveness at all levels
- Accuracy
- Organisational skills
- Proven Ability to work in a busy environment whilst meeting workload timescales
- Capable of undertaking the physical aspects of the role, such as manual handling and transporting goods
