Field Application Engineer

Description

The Field Application Engineer plays an important role in helping grow and expand the market share of the Custom Cable Solutions product line. The FAE is responsible for supporting TPC’s sales teams and customers directly by identifying opportunities and providing technical expertise and pre‑sales engineering assistance.

• Provide expert technical support to customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Engage with customers to understand their unique requirements and challenges while assisting sales in maintaining strong relationships with customers.
• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of our Custom Cable Solutions product line.
• Collaborate with sales teams and customers to design and propose customized solutions that meet their specific needs.
• Work closely with the application and product engineering team to ensure product compatibility.
• Provide training sessions to internal teams and customers on the technical aspects of our Custom Cable Solutions product line.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies in the wire and cable interconnects industry and provide insights to the product marketing team for strategic decision‑making.
• Assist the application engineering team in performing cost buildups as well as targeted quoting in Epicor ERP and Salesforce CRM.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or 7 years of equivalent working experience.
• Previous experience working in the wire and cable interconnects market preferred.
• Strong organizational and writing skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Proven ability to work as a team.
• Minimum 50% domestic travel to customer industrial sites (US & Canada), in addition to quarterly travel to headquarters in Macedonia, OH.
