Slitter Helper – Sheffield Steel Inc. (Macedonia, OH)

Sheffield Steel Inc., a trusted name in the steel processing industry, is looking for a reliable and hardworking Slitter Helper to join our team at our Macedonia, Ohio facility. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands‑on work and want to build a career in a fast‑paced industrial environment.

• Assist the Slitter Operator in setting up and operating slitting equipment.
• Prepare, tag, and package finished coils according to customer specifications.
• Inspect materials for quality and report any issues to the operator or supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety rules and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Basic mechanical ability and comfort working with tools and machinery.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift to 50 lbs.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is a plus.

• Starting Pay: $21.50 per hour
