As an Assistant Manager at Applebee's®, you will be actively involved in day‑to‑day operations, leading the team to deliver exceptional guest and staff experiences.

• Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives.
• Cultivates a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee’s core values.
• Responds immediately to verbal guest complaints and addresses corrective actions.
• Manages guest contact and completes required table visits as per Flynn Applebee’s standards.
• Maintains departmental inventory levels.
• Performs line checks to ensure product preparation and presentation meet company standards.
• Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands.
• Maintains effective safety and security programs.
• Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation.
• Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs to the General Manager/Area Director.
• Promotes recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates.
• Promotes Flynn | Applebee’s training procedures for new managers.
• Ensures staff training through orientation, individual sessions, meetings and implementation of company policy.
• Participates in continuous development of employees using One‑on‑One and performance documentation.
• Assesses employee efficiency, provides fair feedback, and works on development areas.
• Monitors employee performance and documents situations that may require disciplinary action.
• Ensures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures.
• Controls cost in assigned department.
• Complies with local, state and federal laws and regulations.
• Drives bi‑weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories as requested.
• Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork.
• Ensures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee’s standards.
• Provides a role model for managers and employees.
• Develops knowledge of all store‑related technology.
• Will work in all positions as needed, including cooking, expo, seating guests and bartending.
• Utilizes the Management Development Program for continuous growth.

• At least 2–3 years of restaurant management experience.
• Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications (plus).

• Work various shifts, including weekends.
• Stand and walk for up to 10 hours each shift.
• Safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Read and write to facilitate communication, with dexterity for small tools.
