Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Field Team Lead Technician to join our growing service team. This leadership role is essential to mentoring and developing technicians, maintaining service quality, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate combines hands‑on HVAC expertise with strong leadership, excellent communication, and a deep commitment to safety, efficiency, and doing what’s right—every time.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership Supervise and mentor a team of HVAC technicians in the field.

Enhance team skills and knowledge through structured training sessions with the Service Manager.

Foster a culture of Honesty, Integrity, and Quality while holding team members accountable to company standards.

Technical Expertise

Perform complex HVAC installations, maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics.

Troubleshoot system issues quickly and accurately, ensuring timely resolution.

Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations.

Quality Assurance

Monitor work quality across ongoing and completed projects.

Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety requirements.

Implement best practices for safety, quality, and field efficiency.

Administrative Duties

Maintain accurate records of service calls, work orders, and inventory.

Provide feedback to management on team performance and project progress.

Assist in the development and improvement of operational policies and field procedures.

Qualifications Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required; HVAC technical certification preferred.

Minimum 5 years of HVAC service experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or mentoring role.

Skills

Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.

Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.

Proficient with HVAC diagnostic tools and service software.

Interpersonal Skills

Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively, with humility and professionalism.

Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—with an emphasis on coaching and feedback.

Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service grounded in Honesty, Integrity, and Quality.

Certifications

EPA Universal Certification required.

OSHA 10 or 30 preferred.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift heavy equipment and work safely in diverse environments.

Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors in variable conditions.
