THE JOB:
The Maintenance Tech is responsible for conducting predictive maintenance and reactive repairs, including installing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems throughout the plant and building. All tasks must be carried out in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and company policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain the facility's integrity.
THE STARTING RATE: $20.55
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Perform routine to complex maintenance and repair tasks on all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems throughout the racetrack and racino.
Responsible for completing all assignments from Dispatch or Management and maintaining logbooks.
Operate power and hand tools to complete job duties.
Utilize diagnostic tools, including but not limited to amp meters, voltmeters, ohm meters, compound gauges, and pressure gauges, to identify and resolve power and gas issues.
Read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics to install and service electrical components.
Understand the layout of the racetrack, racino, and equipment.
Stay informed on current techniques and technical methods, reporting any unusual conditions to the Shift Supervisor.
Maintain constant awareness of property cleanliness, safety, and accident prevention, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Ability to work under pressure
Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, and Excel
Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate
Has 2+ years of prior relevant experience, in the hospitality industry or similar environment
