Description
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Outside Machinists for a project located in San Diego, CA
. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $38/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Machinist and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!
- Maintain & repair ships propulsion & auxiliary systems including steam turbine electrical, diesel propulsion, rudders steering gear elevators & Navy prep systems
- Install, repair & maintain ships fluid systems including pumps, compressors, purifiers, heat exchangers, actuators& valves
- Install & test various test equipment
- Assemble/install complex mechanical systems
- Must pass background & drug screen
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have 3+ years in related field, graduate from Diesel or Aircraft Mechanic training or 3 year Navy; MM, BT, AD, CM, EN, GS, HT or MR
- Must be able to read & interpret mechanical drawings, written instructions, technical manuals, hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams etc
- Must be have color vision and be able to walk, stand & frequently lift up to 50lbs
