Responsibilities- Teach introductory to advanced courses in graphic design, typography, interactive design, and digital media to BA and BFA undergraduate students.
- Contribute to the field of graphic design/digital media through creative, research, and professional work and activities.
- Maintain the computer lab.
- Develop and assess the graphic design/digital media curriculum.
- Recruit students.
- Serve on departmental, college, and university committees.
- Terminal graduate degree in graphic design, visual communication, digital or new media, or a related discipline.
- For candidates whose terminal degree is outside design, demonstrate academic experience in creative disciplines; portfolio of publishing/exhibition/professional work is important.
- Proficiency with the Macintosh platform and current/emerging software.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for teaching.
- Experience teaching college‑level courses in art and design.
- Record of professional experience in the design industry.
- Degree conferred from a regionally accredited institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body); must be conferred at the time of appointment.
