ResponsibilitiesThe head volleyball coach is responsible for leading all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division I volleyball program, including budget management, recruiting, fundraising, staff supervision, commitment to student‑athlete health and welfare, and directing skill instruction and development.
The successful candidate must fully commit to NCAA, The Ohio Valley Conference, and Western Illinois University Athletics Department policies and procedures, and will be expected to work cooperatively with all constituents and campus units.
Rank & Salary$60,000-$65,000. Negotiable, commensurate with experience.

Job Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in a field related to sport management, leadership, supervision, or higher education administration.
- Demonstrated competitive success in coaching intercollegiate volleyball.
- Proven record of successful recruitment of college‑level academically and athletically prepared student‑athletes.
- Progressive experience in managing the diverse administrative responsibilities of an intercollegiate volleyball program, including budget management, travel planning, and scheduling.
- Proven record of adherence to NCAA academic and compliance regulations.
- Proven record of promoting a culture among student‑athletes that values academic excellence, and student‑athlete health and welfare.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Competitive success in a head coaching role at the NCAA level.
- Supervisory experience.
- Degree must be conferred from a regionally accredited institution of higher education (or equivalent international accrediting body); unless otherwise stated, degree must be conferred at time of appointment.
