The Section 41 English Language Learner Paraprofessional works only with students scoring 1.0 to 3.9 on the WIDA Access test. The highly qualified paraprofessional provides supplemental, direct instructional support to students. They may work with students while they use a computer adaptive program specifically designed to increase reading ability. They may also provide individualized and small group support to students. This position works directly under the supervision of ESL/Bilingual endorsed teachers.
The ESL/Bilingual teacher will progress monitor students and meet with the paraprofessional to discuss student progress.
