Responsibilities- Lead a customer‑centric team of associates and accelerate the seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office.
- Provide leadership and development of tax office associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving all office related growth objectives. Serve as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates.
- Lead daily team meetings, communicate essential information, and create associate work schedules with accurate timekeeping and overtime management.
- Train and coach associates to execute Service Standards, recognize outstanding contributions, and build an engaging team environment.
- Handle on-site escalated client service concerns and ensure clients are scheduled properly with conflicts resolved.
- Prepare tax returns as required and ensure deadlines, quality standards, and priorities are met.
- Conduct timely performance reviews and collaborate with the Associate Relations Center to address performance concerns.
- Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office‑level growth plans, develop local partnerships, and manage office community involvement.
- Assist the District General Manager in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
- Experience in a customer service, shift leader, or similar role with supervision or people management.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns) and annual continuing education to meet IRS/state requirements.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexible schedule and adaptability to business needs; high school diploma or equivalent or higher.
- Demonstrated customer‑centric mindset, resilience, and willingness to take on challenges.

Pay RangeThe pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. Individual pay decisions depend on experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location. Eligible associates may participate in incentive plans and benefits including medical and retirement plans.
Pay Range
$15.00 - $65.00/Hr.
