Compensation:
Expected pay $47.78 – $71.68, determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.

The Director of Quality works in partnership with McDonough District Hospital and Medical Staff leadership to develop a culture of safety, measure quality of care, identify improvement opportunities, and lead performance improvement activities. Directs resource management for Risk Management, Regulation & Accreditation, Quality, Infection Control, and Data Management.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership for safety culture and quality measurement initiatives.
- Coordinate performance improvement activities, reporting, and documentation.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary teams to design, measure, and assess improvement projects.
- Utilize performance improvement data and core measures to benchmark against industry standards.
- Manage risk management activities: general and professional liability insurance, litigation claims, legal counsel relations, risk program oversight, risk data analysis, educational programs, and regulatory compliance.
- Promote patient safety initiatives and support the mission through multidisciplinary risk management.
- Lead the Corporate Compliance Committee and oversee compliance issue resolution.
- Assist Operations Council and stakeholders in meeting regulatory agency rules and regulations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Current RN license in Illinois.
- Minimum 10 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Strong record as a respected clinician with clinical skills and commitment to high patient‑care standards.
- Experience with clinical information systems and technology to support institutional goals.
- Preferred certifications:
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality and Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management.
