- Job Summary
- Illinois licensed nurse who provides a full range of nursing services within the framework of established professional standards. The nurse works collaboratively with support staff and under the medical direction of the physician.
- Job Specifications
- Education and Experience:
Graduate from a School of Licensed Practical Nursing and currently licensed in Illinois as an LPN or graduate from a School of Registered Nursing and currently licensed as an RN in Illinois. - Required to have a current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire date.
- Job Knowledge:
Must have knowledge of current clinical practices commonly implemented by the family practice nurse; medical terminology; service organization and office policies and procedures; all technical equipment used; use of personal protective equipment in compliance with DCD and OSHA guidelines; rules and regulations concerning child abuse reporting and guardianship. The patient population must be considered when assessing job knowledge required from the employee. - Abilities, Interests and Temperaments:
Must express thoughts in clear and concise terms, both verbal and written; adapt and prioritize during high volume periods; operate all equipment safely and effectively; demonstrate self‑motivation and self‑improvement; show interest in all aspects of providing primary care and/or surgical services; show interest in clinical and financial aspects of performance in a medical office setting; use tact, courtesy, and diplomacy when dealing with employees, supervisors, doctors, patients, insurance companies, and the general public;
work with a variety of patients of all populations.
