As a night shift nurse, you will provide attentive, individualized care while helping residents feel comfortable and supported.
Responsibilities include:
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Complete assessments, provide wound care, and monitor changes in residents’ conditions within your scope of practice.
- Communicate concerns to physicians and follow through on orders.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies.
- Work closely with CNAs to support daily care, mobility, and resident preferences.
- Delegate appropriately and follow up to ensure care is completed.
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic documentation.
- Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and coworkers.
- An active Illinois LPN license
- Current CPR certification
- Dependability, sound nursing judgment, and a commitment to quality care
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Comfort using computers for clinical documentation
- The ability to perform essential job duties, with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting or moving up to 50 pounds
- Dementia care experience is preferred.
