Student Assistant - Office of Research & Sponsored Projects

Middle Georgia State University (MGA) is a public, baccalaureate and graduate‑degree‑granting institution with five campuses in central Georgia. The Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP) supports faculty and staff in grant development, research administration, and compliance.

Job Summary

The Student Assistant will provide essential administrative support to ORSP faculty and staff, assisting the ORSP director with data entry, outreach, and office duties while collaborating with faculty on grant applications and research.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to support grant applications and research.
  • Be a helpful resource to all students, staff, faculty, and visitors entering the office.
  • Assist the ORSP director with administrative duties such as data entry, answering incoming calls, office outreach (email, media, phone), copying, and filing.
  • Collate data and investigate topics/research on behalf of the office.
Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled as a student at Middle Georgia State University.
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours during the semester of employment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Computer literacy and use of office software.
