The roleOperates the screed unit of an asphalt paver to deliver a consistent, properly graded mat.
Responsibilities and qualifications- Operate the screed assembly on asphalt pavers, including Weiler P385 and Astec RP models.
- Apply basic depth gauge conversions to maintain specified lift thickness.
- Configure and troubleshoot screed settings to resolve mat defects in real time.
- Set and maintain grade using three-point grade control systems.
