Position: MD (Medical Doctor);DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Pulmonology

Description

We are currently seeking MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Pulmonology at a leading staffing and recruiting company. In this role, you will play a crucial part in diagnosing and treating patients with respiratory system disorders. Your expertise will be vital in providing high-quality care and improving the overall health of our patients. You will be involved in a variety of projects focused on respiratory health, lung diseases, and critical care.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients with respiratory issues.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with pulmonary conditions.
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and imaging studies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements and research in the field of Pulmonology.
  • Educate patients and their families about respiratory health, disease prevention, and treatment options.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Document patient care accurately and timely in medical records.
Requirements:
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Pulmonology.
  • Valid state medical license to practice as a Pulmonologist.
  • Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing pulmonary conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:30a-5p

Call shifts required

Setting: 100% outpatient

Patient Census: 20-30 per day

Cases:
Sick visits, chronic lung disease management, pulmonary function testing, sleep studies, smoking cessation, bronchoscopies, pulmonary rehabilitation, valley fever, and non-tuberculosis mycobacterium

Support Staff: 3 MDs, 2 NPs, Rts, LCSWs, LPNs, MAs

EMR:
Athena Health

Must be board-certified
