About Us

Middle Georgia State University (MGA), a multi-campus, baccalaureate and graduate degree granting public institution, is the most affordable public state university in Georgia. Job Summary

The student will be responsible for assisting the office with tutoring the students and any other duties assigned by the office.

Responsibilities
  • Perform clerical or data entry tasks and file important documents accordingly.
  • Assist with the tutoring of students in math and reading.
  • Assist in sign-in and sign-out procedures
  • Encourages participation in daily activities.
  • Perform other duties related to position as assigned by Site Coordinator.
  • Maintain all work areas in a clean and organized manner.
  • Maintain his/her academic work load while handling a work study job opportunity.
  • Must be dependable and prompt.
  • Must adhere to the code of confidentiality.
  • Be cordial to all students, staff, faculty and visitors entering the office
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum GPA of 2.0
  • Be enrolled at Middle Georgia State University for at least 6 credit hours
  • Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • A student worker must have knowledge of child and youth activities such as educational enrichment, health and some sport and or recreational.
  • Any prior job experience in childcare.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Student is required to retain Family Education Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) confidentiality.
