Job SummaryThis position is primarily responsible for teaching undergraduate courses (depending on degree) in areas to include, but not limited to: aircraft systems, crew resource management, flight operations, and FAR Part 141 ground school courses.
Responsibilities- Teach various Aviation Maintenance Technology courses in areas to include, but not limited to the FAA General curriculum.
- Advise aviation students on academic and career aspirations.
- Develop course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, tests, and lab projects.
- Maintain training aids.
- Instruct Aviation Maintenance Technology courses in the classroom, labs and shop.
- Evaluate student achievement and competence.
- Collaborate with faculty and occupational advisory committee.
Required Educational Qualifications
Master’s Degree required.
Required Experience
If Master’s or Doctorate Degree is not in Aviation, extensive experience in Aviation along with a Master’s or Doctorate Degree will be required for this position.
Other Required Qualifications
Demonstrate ability to teach a broad array of aviation training courses.

Doctorate Degree
Preferred Experience
Civilian aviation experience with a background in FAR Part 121 or 135 operations preferred
Other Preferred Qualifications
Although this position does not involve flight instruction, possession of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Certificated Flight Instructor rating (CFI) and/or Ground Instructor certificates (AGI, IGI) is preferred.
