Middle Georgia State University (MGA), a multi-campus, baccalaureate and graduate degree granting public institution, is the most affordable public state university in Georgia. MGA has five campuses—Macon, Cochran, Dublin, Eastman, and Warner Robins— all located in central Georgia and global outreach through its fully‑online campus. Its enrollment of 8,400 students is largely comprised of students from most of Georgia's 159 counties.

The University has six academic schools, including Georgia's flagship aviation program, that support its mission to educate and graduate inspired, lifelong learners whose scholarship and careers enhance the state.

In this position, students will have the opportunity to assist with departmental needs. Job includes assisting professors, staff, and students, as assigned by hiring manager.

• Helps with daily operations of running the office (answering phones, making copies, distributing mail, assisting walk‑ins, etc.)
• Communicates professionally on the phone and in‑person to resolve or elevate inquiries
• Answers general questions about department, or directs inquiries to appropriate person
• Assists the staff and department chair with other duties as assigned; may take on a special project based on student skills and interests to include but is not limited to social media, the Mac and/or Art Lab, course assistance (i.e., assisting with set‑up for film/digital lab courses), digital media management and/or creation, and student outreach.

• Minimum GPA of 2.5
• Currently enrolled student at Middle Georgia State University for at least 6 credit hours with some or all classes being on the Macon campus.
• Must be able to work a set schedule Monday – Friday.
• Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, social media platforms, Canva, etc.
• Skills:
  
  critical and creative thinking, oral and written communication, and attention to detail.
