Teacher (Blind/Deaf)-High School Math Teacher
The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) – Georgia Academy for the Blind is recruiting for a High School Math Teacher. Under general supervision, the teacher will provide a comprehensive high school math education program to meet the needs of students who are visually impaired and/or multi‑disabled in a residential school setting.
- Organize and teach Math classes.
- Assess and document students' educational needs to develop and implement appropriate instructional plans.
- Develop appropriate instructional materials.
- Utilize acceptable and innovative instructional techniques and practices.
- Maintain an effective learning environment.
- Ensure that credentials remain current.
- May supervise additional classroom attendants in some instances.
- Follow professional practices consistent with the system and compile with state administration regulations and policies.
