Job Summary

The Department of Computer Science within the School of Computing at Middle Georgia State University is seeking candidates for an Assistant Professor of Computer Science. This is a ten‑month tenure‑track position which involves teaching, scholarship, and service.

Responsibilities

Teaching responsibilities will be at the undergraduate programs. Candidates should be able to teach a variety of CS cores and elective courses within the CS program (https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).). Teaching responsibilities may include day and/or evening classes. Travel between campuses – Cochran, Dublin, Macon, and Warner Robins – will be required. Online teaching experience is required. In addition to teaching, job requirements include service to the institution;

an active research and scholarly activities leading to publication in peer‑reviewed journals.

Required Qualifications

Required Educational Qualifications
PhD or equivalent in Computer Science or a computing‑related discipline.

Other Required Qualifications
Reasonable record of teaching and scholarship that warrants appointment at the rank of assistant professor.
