Middle Georgia State University (MGA) is inviting applications for an Assistant Professor position within the School of Computing, Department of Mathematics & Statistics. The position is full‑time, 10‑month, and includes a comprehensive benefits package. The applicant will teach undergraduate mathematics courses, serve the department and university, and contribute to scholarly activities at the rank of Assistant Professor.
Responsibilities- Teach day and evening undergraduate mathematics courses across MGA campuses (Macon, Cochran, Dublin, Warner Robins). Travel between campuses may be required.
- Participate in departmental service and institutional mission initiatives.
- Engage in scholarly activities to support tenure and promotion.
- Master’s degree or equivalent in mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline.
- Reasonable record of teaching and scholarship that warrants appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor.
- Ph.D. or equivalent in mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of statistical theory and proficiency in industry‑standard analytical tools.
- Letter of interest including teaching philosophy
