Middle Georgia State University (MGA), a multi-campus, baccalaureate and graduate degree granting public institution, is the most affordable public state university in Georgia. MGA has five campuses—Macon, Cochran, Dublin, Eastman, and Warner Robins—located in central Georgia, and a fully-online campus for global outreach. The university enrolls 8,400 students, largely from Georgia’s 159 counties, and offers six academic schools, including Georgia’s flagship aviation program.

This position is primarily responsible for teaching undergraduate courses, including aircraft systems, crew resource management, flight operations, and FAR Part 141 ground school courses.

• Teach various Aviation Maintenance Technology courses in the FAA General curriculum.
• Advise aviation students on academic and career aspirations.
• Develop course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, tests, and lab projects.
• Maintain training aids.
• Instruct Aviation Maintenance Technology courses in the classroom, labs, and shop.
• Evaluate student achievement and competence.
• Collaborate with faculty and occupational advisory committee.

  Qualifications:
  
  Master's Degree required.
• Experience: If Master’s or Doctorate Degree is not in Aviation, extensive experience in Aviation along with a Master’s or Doctorate Degree is required.
• Other: Demonstrate ability to teach a broad array of aviation training courses.

  Doctorate Degree.
• Experience: Civilian aviation experience with a background in FAR Part 121 or 135 operations preferred.
• Other: Possession of FAA Certified Flight Instructor rating (CFI) and/or Ground Instructor certificates (AGI, IGI) is preferred, though flight instruction is not required.
