In this position, the student tutor will assist other students in developing a deeper understanding of a foreign language and in maintaining or improving their grades in lower‑to‑mid‑level language courses taught ors set and adhere to their schedule within the allotted amount of hours provided.
Responsibilities- Maintain a consistent schedule of availability for tutoring hours, both on the Macon campus and through TEAMS scheduling.
- Maintain all work areas in a clean and organized manner.
- Maintain academic workload while handling a work‑study job opportunity.
- Be dependable, prompt, and cordial to all students, staff, faculty, and visitors entering the tutoring area.
- Adhere to the code of confidentiality and retain FERPA confidentiality.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Currently enrolled student at MGA for at least 6 credit hours.
- Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
- Position depends on approval from assigned language professor (Spanish, Korean, French). Student must be either a native speaker or in an advanced relevant language course.
- Student worker must have knowledge of computers and various software programs.
- Student is required to retain FERPA confidentiality.
