Full-Time Intermediate Manufacturing Designer
Prince Service & Manufacturing is looking for ethical individuals, customer-focused, problem solvers, flexible, and selfless. As an Intermediate Manufacturing Designer
, you are responsible for translating product design concepts into production-ready plans, models, and documentation. An intermediate designer is expected to work with a greater degree of autonomy and project management responsibility. They ensure that products are functional, visually appealing, and manufacturable within specified cost and quality standards.

- Create and manage manufacturing documentation. Develop detailed 3D CAD models, process sketches, and engineering drawings that convey specific manufacturing intent for parts and assemblies.
- Design for Manufacturability (DFM). Integrate manufacturing and assembly constraints into product designs, ensuring all concepts meet cost quality and performance requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, CNC programmers, and management to coordinate design requirements and resolve issues.
- Support prototyping and testing efforts, validate design concepts, and update documentation as needed.
- Collect and refine initial drawings, calculations, and concepts to produce accurate and complete design models.
- Verify design specifications, annotations, and technical data in CAD and manual formats.
- Contribute to project planning, milestone tracking, and standardization of design documentation.
- Research new materials, technologies, and processes to support continuous improvement and innovation.
- Adhere to ISO, safety, and quality standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- ABachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Design, or related field.
- An Associates Degree with CAD training.
- 3-5 years of experience in Mechanical Design or CAD for manufacturing processes.
- Experience with 3D Modeling Software (Solid Works & AutoCAD) is required.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) industry standards.
- Must have good math and analytical skills.
- Must be self-motivated and have strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to read and interpret technical blueprints.
- Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner with the ability to work within strict deadlines.
