We are searching for a Teller to join our team at our Macon branch located at Log Cabin. The employee will be responsible for providing prompt, efficient, and accurate customer service for all teller transactions while representing the Bank in a courteous and professional manner.
Duties and Responsibilities- Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions by accepting deposits, which includes verifying cash, verifying endorsements, placing holds according to American Pride Bank REG CC-Expedited Funds Availability Policy and issuing receipts.
- Cashes checks following the American Pride Bank Check Cashing/Endorsement Policies & Procedures.
- Follows established dual control procedures, including but not limited to opening/closing the Branch.
- Process and log all night drop bags routinely.
- Processes change order(s), loan payment(s), and credit card advance(s).
- Issues official checks.
- Redeems U.S. Savings Bonds.
- Quotes products and rates in effort to promote and inform customers of the Bank's services and products.
- Answers customer inquiries and gives account balances.
- Balance cash drawer throughout the day and at the end of the shift to maintain proper cash balance.
- Answers phones and assists callers and/or transfers callers to appropriate personnel.
- Maintains a work area which ensures the safety and confidentiality of all customer records and transactions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and rules, governing the Bank's products and services.
- Understands and complies with Bank Policies and Procedures, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML).
- Fast‑paced banking/business office environment with standard office temperature, moderate noise from computer(s), printer(s), telephone, fax, copier, scanner and other office equipment, and median traffic.
- Ability to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, reach, lift (up to 25 pounds), and stand for various lengths of time and meet other physical demands required to perform the job.
- Ability to operate and use a computer, printer, telephone, fax, copier, scanner, other office equipment and tools needed and used to perform this job.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4 years of banking experience, preferably in a cash handling role.
- Experience with Jack Henry Products is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Team.
