James Bates Brannan Groover LLP, a leading law firm with offices in Macon, Atlanta, and Athens, Georgia, is seeking an experienced CPA (tax and wealth planning analyst) for our Tax & Wealth Planning group in our Macon office.

Our Tax & Wealth Planning Group services clients across the southeastern United States, counseling individuals and families in the acquisition, preservation, management and transfer of their property. Our services weave together the laws of income, gift, estate and generation‑skipping taxation, trusts, estates, charitable giving, employee benefits, securities, insurance, partnerships and corporations.

• Active CPA license required
• 3–5 years of experience in tax, financial, or estate planning (law firm, accounting firm, or wealth management experience preferred)
• Experience with and ability to prepare gift tax and estate tax returns
• Ability to assist in the drafting and preparation of planning documents, exhibits, and supporting materials
• Adept in determining the time value of money, creating loan amortization schedules, and tax research
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
• Ability to work autonomously and with a team
• Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Partnership tax knowledge (is a plus)
