Ultrasound Tech Night Shift (Friday–Sunday 6:30 PM–7:00 AM)
Position at Atrium Health Navicent.
Job Details- Department: 36320 Navicent Health Medical Center – Ultrasound
- Location: Warner Robins, GA
- Status: Full‑time
- Hours per week: 40
- Schedule details: Varies
- Under indirect supervision, perform all duties associated with acquisition, processing, submission for interpretation and archiving of general and specialized ultrasound images.
- Perform portable ultrasound exams based on provider order and/or patient condition.
- Position patients and select appropriate protocol based on accepted general ultrasound principles; judge diagnostic quality of finished images.
- Customize each exam to optimize diagnostic value and assist radiologist with US‑guided procedures such as biopsies or aspirations.
- Review all diagnostic ultrasound requests for appropriateness and communicate concerns to ordering provider.
- Provide relevant patient history and/or codes for all ultrasound procedures per facility requirements.
- Perform clerical responsibilities associated with acquisition, processing and archiving of patient records.
- Offer clear explanation of diagnostic procedures to patients and answer questions.
- Monitor patients in the ultrasound department for changes in status and intervene or contact primary care as needed.
- Identify and correct problems with critical occurrences, reporting to next level of authority.
- Maintain required continuing education and applicable certifications as a certified ultrasound technologist.
- Ensure equipment is maintained in conformance with operational standards.
- High School or GED diploma.
- Graduate of an AMA‑approved school of Radiologic Technology, vascular or cardiovascular ultrasound program, or holder of a BS in Ultrasound.
- Registry eligible through ARDMS or ARRT; registration required within one year of employment.
- Minimum one year of experience preferred.
$34.90 – $52.35 per hour.
