Position: CT Service Line Supervisor

Location: Navicent Health Medical Center – CT (36317)

Job Summary: The CT Service Line Supervisor will supervise and coordinate daily and ongoing operations for the CT program at Navicent Health. Patient care and delivery standards are carried out in a compassionate and ethical manner. The role ensures Navicent Health standards and imaging protocols and procedures are followed, maintains ACR accreditation and tool book, and ensures effective utilization of personnel and supplies.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Direct daily workflow during day shift hours to meet the needs of all customers, including communications with other technologists/CT staff when changes are made in patient or department schedule. Performs exams as needed to help facilitate efficient workflow. Acts as a liaison between the radiologist and referring physician when additional information is needed before or after procedure.
  • Establishes and maintains standards of performance for the CT program, ensuring all employees follow quality and patient safety guidelines. Monitors staff productivity, capacity, and volume to optimize performance. Reviews daily exam completion to ensure appropriate charges are applied.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities for the CT department, engaging staff to develop process improvements and solutions. Implements process improvements, reviews the Imaging Service Dashboard, and provides input for improvements across Imaging Services. Manages radiation dose tracking and protocols, including all outpatient facilities as well as the Medical Center of Peach County.
  • Evaluates and recommends equipment selection, troubleshoots equipment to avoid downtime, and coordinates maintenance with Biomed or vendors.
  • Assists in preparation of the annual operating budget, meets operational budget goals, justifies variances such as overtime and PRN staff utilization, and reports budgetary issues at imaging services leadership meetings.
  • Attends weekly imaging leadership meetings, reports on all aspects of the CT program, seeks and provides constructive feedback, and works with other service line supervisors/managers to ensure operational consistency.
  • Is responsible for screening, interviewing, and hiring applicants, providing orientation for new staff members, revising job descriptions, and conducting regular staff or team meetings.
  • Promotes intradepartmental and interdepartmental relationships, works closely with nursing units and other procedural areas to ensure quality patient service, and ensures all CT staff perform similarly.
Education, Training, and Experience
  • Graduate of an AMA, JRC, or regionally accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Minimum of three years of radiology experience preferred.
