Orthopedic Trauma Physician Assistant to join Atrium Health Navicent Musculoskeletal Care Orthopedic Trauma
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedic Trauma Team at Atrium Health Navicent. The PA will work closely with orthopedic trauma surgeons to provide high-quality care to patients undergoing orthopedic procedures. Responsibilities include patient assessments, orthopedic consults, managing postoperative care including pain management, and developing treatment plans.
Job Summary:
Participates in team focused patient care by means of patient examinations augmented by diagnostic and therapeutic evaluations/ interventions in the medical and/or surgical theatres of health care.
What You'll Do:
As a valued member of our healthcare team, the PA will play a key role in team-focused patient care, conducting thorough examinations and evaluations in medical/surgical settings.
Responsibilities include:
The PA functions under the regulatory mandate from their respective licensing organization (Georgia Medical Board) with departmental specific credentialing from the institution.
Physician Assistant (PA) Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program;
Master's Degree preferred - Current Georgia Medical Board Medical License,
- Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to start.
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing is required to start.
