• Performs respiratory duties as outlined by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board’sDeclaratory Ruling for Respiratory Care Assistants (RCA) orperformsrespiratory duties as outlined bythe Georgia Composite State Regulatory Board.
• Completes all regulatory requirements.
• Completesproficiencyevaluation of respiratory care equipment and procedures.

• A minimum of a High School diploma or GED required. Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited Respiratory
• Care educational program approved by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) and/or AMA.
• North Carolina:
  
  Successful completion of 1 year ofan accredited Respiratory Careprogramrequired.
• Georgia:
  
  Senior studentofanaccredited Respiratory Care program required.

• Basic Life Support for healthcare providers thru the American Heart Association required.
• Advanced certifications per facility/department.
• North Carolina only:
  
  Registered with the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board (NCRCB) asa Respiratory Care Assistant (RCA).
