• Oversee the overall management of multiple self‑storage facilities, typically five locations with one or more employees, and lead the team.
• Foster a culture that demonstrates the core values of National Storage Affiliates:

• Host and/or attend scheduled virtual meetings (weekly, bi‑weekly, monthly, bi‑monthly, quarterly, annually) and impromptu meetings as needed.
• Create monthly schedules to support business needs and cover shifts when required.
• Ensure stores are staffed, properties are clean, customers are attended to, and calls are answered.
• Partner with Recruiting Department to interview for open positions.
• Develop, performance manage, and mentor team members; coach the team to provide excellent customer service focused on retaining customers and building rapport with new customers.
• Ensure team members complete new‑hire training and ongoing employee training.
• Ensure all facilities and team members adhere to safety standards, operational procedures, and meet financial goals.
• Conduct monthly audits of each store to verify bank records and tenant accounts and confirm company policies are followed.
• Conduct monthly auctions and ensure compliance with current state lien laws.
• Review and monitor maintenance and planned capital expenses at facilities and ensure assets remain in good condition and reflect the NSA Storage brand.
• Oversee contract and license oversight.

• All work must be performed in accordance with safety regulations and applicable safety policies and standards.
• Physical activity including extensive walking, walking on inclines and declines, extensive use of stairs, lifting up to fifty (50) pounds, and other onsite duties such as cleaning units, pulling weeds, and cutting lock locks for auctions – must be able to climb ladders as per policy.
• Travel by car to storage facilities within the support area; travel requirements include rental or personal vehicle use and, when necessary, airplane travel; must be present in the market 100% of working days per month, including overnight and out‑of‑state travel as needed.
• Multi‑unit property management experience preferred.
• Management experience with a team of employees.
• Excellent time‑management and multi‑tasking skills using calendar and scheduling tools.
• Excellent customer service, sales experience, phone etiquette, organizational skills, and computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Power BI).
• Accurate recordkeeping and filing; proficient math skills for auditing, cash handling experience.
• Host and attend virtual meetings, supporting a culture of camera presence when possible.
• Must have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and insurance.
• Must pass and maintain a clean criminal background check.
• Work Monday‑Friday 9 am‑6 pm and at least one Saturday per month 9 am‑5 pm; may be on call during off Saturdays and Sundays.
• Must live within 20 miles of the area for this posting or be open to relocating within 20 miles of the area.
