We have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to be based in Columbus, GA.
** This is a 2nd Shift Opportunity. Selected candidate will need to train on 1st shift for 3-6 months prior to transitioning to the 2nd Shift.

* Primary Responsibilities:

* Provide engineering support for production operations including process support, troubleshooting, machine setup, and root cause analysis within the forging business unit.
* Collect and analyze data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities.
* Obtain and maintain knowledge of forging techniques and processes for manufacturing.
* Interpret requirements to develop and maintain processes to manufacture parts and tooling to engineering drawing requirements.
* Assist in electronic work instruction update and creation for manufacturing use.
* Interpret manufacturing inspection data to ensure product meets engineering requirements.
* Be able to work in a team environment. Be able to handle multi-tasking duties.
* Demonstrate commitment to the EH&S and continuous improvement programs by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities.
** Qualifications You Must Have:
*** High School Diploma or equivalent
* U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
* 5 years technical experience
* 3 year manufacturing experience
* Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes or machines
** Qualifications We Prefer:
*** Forge operating and setup experience
* 2 year technical certificate or associates degree
* Proficient in MS Office Suite
* Solumina & SAP experience
