* What You Will Do:

** We have an opportunity for a
** Senior Supervisor, Materials Control Lab
** to be based in Columbus, GA. The Senior Supervisor, Materials Control Lab is responsible for managing the entire quality engineering process of assigned parts and supervises the Material Control Lab (Materials Testing)
* Supervise hourly non-exempt employees on assigned shift; mentor and develop hourly non-exempt employees
* Respond to technical and process concerns/issues; review process changes or conformity to requirements
* Coordinate and perform root cause analysis to solve manufacturing process issues
* Facilitate and prepare for external audits
* Work with customers regarding quality concerns
* Participate in cross functional team projects to improve the overall organization and to develop a career path and leadership
* Update and track the performance of incoming and outgoing specimens
* Review of engineering documentation to ensure it contains the necessary quality assurance and customer provisions and criteria
** Qualifications You Must Have:
*** Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years experience in an engineering, manufacturing, materials management, quality or closely related industrial environment or an Associate's degree and 7 or more years experience in an engineering, manufacturing, materials management, quality or closely related industrial environment
* In absence of a degree, a high school diploma/GED and 9 or more years experience in an engineering, manufacturing, materials management, quality or closely related industrial environment
* Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, experience with Kaizen events or experience with a continuous improvement program (CORE);
Value Stream Mapping, RCCA, 6S - Workplace Organization, Continuous Flow Manufacturing, Set-up Reduction, Total Productive Maintenance and Mistake Proofing
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
** Qualifications We Prefer:
*** Understand and interpret engineering technical data to provide guidance to cross functional teams
* Experience with SAP and other IT Quality systems
* Thorough understanding of audits and audit preparation
* Experience with dimensional inspection, blueprint interpretation and/or GD&T, and Pyrometry
* Knowledge of Document Control and Calibration systems. Ability to query data from database systems. Able to interpret manufacturing drawings
** Qualifications We Prefer:
*** Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment of aerospace products
* Experience using CORE tools
* Prior experience in a team lead/supervisory capacity
