* What You Will Do:

** We have an opportunity for a MCL Quality Technical Team Member to be based in Columbus, GA.
*** The schedule for this position is Mon-Thurs 4:00PM to 2:30AM (onsite role).
*** Mechanical Testing:
* Perform daily walk arounds to prior to testing
* Receive-in and inspect testing specimens for accuracy
* Sort priorities as needed
* Operate multiple creep, stress rupture, and tensile mechanical testing machines for Specimen destructive testing
* Comply with all training required, including Quality procedures as well as MCL Manuals and Standard Work.
* Log testing data in UGA (as needed)
* Maintain required log books
* Check/ validate testing accuracy

Other Responsibilities:

* Perform 6s each shift
* Engage in process optimization to allow success of production/quality goals while achieving and maintaining cost savings
* Complete all training within the expected time given
** Qualifications You Must Have:
*** High School Diploma or GED
* Must be willing to work the scheduled shift and may need to train on an alternate shift. Overtime may be required
* U.S. Citizenship is required
* Familiar with micrometer, calipers, microscopes and other measuring equipment.
** Qualifications We Value:
*** Two to five years’ experience in quality/aerospace manufacturing environment.
* Technical degree preferred.
* Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures.
* Understanding of internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings.
* Good organizational skills.
