Responsibilities

Collaborating with a leading hospital in eastern Georgia with an opportunity for a Heart Failure Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage.

Opportunity Details:

  • Schedule:

    Monday-Friday (8-hour shifts) or 7 on/7 off (12-hour shifts)
  • No call shifts required
  • Setting:
    Inpatient
  • Daily Volume: 10-15 patients
  • Support Staff: 3 full-time MDs and 2 APPS
  • EMR:
    Epic
  • Paid travel & expenses

During your time off, stroll along a picturesque riverwalk lined with gardens and fountains, bike or jog through miles of canal trails, and catch a symphony or ballet in a beautifully restored theater.

Qualifications
  • BLS and ACLS
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current Heart Failure Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner experience
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Active unencumbered Georgia Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant state license
  • One year of EMR experience

Requirements

COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.

  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
