Licensed Practical Nurse
The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide care to patients in a rehabilitation setting. The unit consists of 25 beds with a patient census of 20-25. Patients may include those recovering from neuro issues, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, cerebrovascular accidents, and patients post-craniotomies. Nurses should be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work well with common patient types.
The nurse-patient ratio is typically 1:5-7. Certified Nursing Assistants are available to assist with vital signs, glucose checks, bathing, feeding, ambulating, and patient transport. Unit secretaries and charge nurses provide support as needed. The facility utilizes electronic medical records and various technology and equipment for patient care. Weekend shifts are part of the schedule, and holidays will be required based on staffing needs.
