Position: Food Operations Manager 2

Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager 2 at Piedmont Macon Hospital to manage the patient dining program while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and service for patients and guests. This role also serves as the Acting Safety Coordinator for the account, supporting regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and a strong culture of safety across all food service areas. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on healthcare food service leader with strong safety knowledge and a passion for delivering patient‑centered service.

What

You’ll Do
  • motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline (hourly‑paid) staff;
  • provide stellar customer service;
  • oversee cash handling processes, and POS programming and maintenance;
  • ensure company food and physical safety programs and standards are followed;
  • conduct patient services standard audits;
  • manage the opening and closing the operation as well daily patient services and retail food service operations;
  • manage vendor relationships and compliance; and/or
  • maintain all product merchandising, marketing and ordering standards are in place.

What You Bring
  • food service management experience;
  • have a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization;
  • possess the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high level of customer service;
  • exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and/or
  • demonstrate working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems as well as menu graphics programs.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience 2 years

Minimum Functional Experience 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
