About the Role

The Bartender will be responsible for making alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages by following recipes and delivering high‑quality food and drinks in a clean and friendly environment. The Bartender will also be responsible for ensuring exceptional service to all guests in accordance with the service standards of Mainsail Lodging & Development.

Key Details
  • Part‑time position: 20–25 hours per week.
  • Weekend availability and ability to work mid‑shifts.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, equivalent, or higher
  • Previous hospitality experience
  • 2 years of bartending experience in a high‑volume bar or restaurant
  • General knowledge of cocktail crafting and mixology fundamentals
  • Excellent customer‑service skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to use technology, e.g., tablets, iPads, computers, and POS
  • Experience working on a team
  • Ability to work quickly in a clean, organized, and effective manner
  • A sense of ownership in everything you do
Responsibilities
  • Serve guests efficiently while following steps of service, preparing cocktails, pouring beer and wine, and making beverage recommendations
  • Food running to serve bar and bar‑area guests
  • Prep and stock the bar for the appropriate service period to ensure successful bar service
  • Clean glasses, tools, utensils, and bar equipment
  • Maintain knowledge of current menu offerings, including ingredients, preparations, and accompaniments
  • Curate guests’ bar experience by making recommendations based on guest preferences and needs
  • Maintain knowledge of beverages, including beer, wine, and liquor
  • Collect and process payment for food and beverages served, ensuring proper cash‑handling procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area and coolers
  • Other necessary duties as reasonably assigned
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to bend
  • Ability to lift or pull 50 lbs
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Ability to work long hours as needed
