Structured Cabling Technician
Our Employee-Owned company has immediate full-time openings for a Systems Technician in Macon, GA. This position will work within Industrial, Commercial, Healthcare, and Federal businesses and be part of an amazing and GROWING team! All positions are regular, full-time and benefits eligible. Pay range depending on experience, skills, and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect work areas and complete Job Hazard Analysis prior to starting any work.
- Review and process work and plan ahead, coordinate equipment, supplies, tools, manage schedule/scheduling impacts.
- Install equipment, install cable while adhering to codes, regulations, and standards.
- Troubleshoot technical issues to quick resolutions.
- Complete postinstallation paperwork and coordinate with supervisor for inspections.
- Ensure First Class customer service is provided for superior customer satisfaction.
- Know industry standards/color codes/cable & testing.
- Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking, & climbing up & down ladders.
- Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, kneeling, balancing.
- Climbing ladders of various heights and working in cramped corridors.
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull minimum of 50 lbs. with no assistance.
- Standing for over 95% of workday and/or sitting for 2 hours at a time.
- Working in indoor & outdoor conditions.
- Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust & focus.
- Operate motor vehicles independently.
- Operate technologies and equipment as required by the installation plan.

- Has the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems with low voltage systems.
- BISC I Certification (Preferred).
