We have an immediate opening for an apprentice Volkswagen and Audi mechanic. This isa temporary position with excellent training and advancement into a permanent job asa trained journeyman mechanic.

Position Temporary, 40 hours, leading to permanent

• Use of the shop after hours or on weekends
• Dibs on buying customer cars, except ‘talking dogs’
• Flip cars on your own time

• Some metric hand tools
• Valid class C or greater Georgia driver’s license
• Relatively clean driving record
• Dependable transportation to and from the workplace
• Ability to read and comprehend the English language
• Willingness to submit to drug screening

• Solid problem-solving skills
• Wheel alignment and tire service
• Light and heavy maintenance
• Electrical troubleshooting and repair
• Windows and VAG-Com skills
• How to interact well with customers
• How to meet and exceed customer expectations
• How to keep a winning attitude in tight situations

• There is no smoking and no chewing tobacco anywhere on the premises.
• We require a motor vehicle report.
• We require a background check.
• We require drug testing.

Learning where everything lives in a shop takes a month or more. The tools, the materials, the bolt bins, the chemicals, the laptops. For the first three weeks almost half your time goes to doing without something or asking somebody where itis. That is not a measure of your skill and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

It is a good part of why the attendance guarantee exists. You get paid while youlearn the building and while you learn the cars we work on. Get good at doing thework, then get faster.
