Job Summary:

This position is accountable for technical and clerical tasks which support the operation of the Medical Library and Family Resource Center. This position is an active resource to physicians, employees, and the patient families who interact with them. Position is accountable for accurate document delivery to all patrons. Duties include performing routine cataloging of library materials, and retrieval of information from computer databases.

Incumbent must be knowledgeable in a variety of medical databases (Pub Med, EBSCO, Red Book online, Up-to-Date, and Docline) and how to manipulate them in order to find pertinent information. The incumbent may also assist patrons and families with basic troubleshooting for computer, printer, copier usage in the library. The incumbent may assist the Medical Librarian oversee the volunteers and process library material for the Literacy Program including "George's Book Club".

The incumbent will work independently with collaborative guidance from the Medical Librarian.

Education
  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. (required)
  • College Degree - 2 year (preferred)

  • Minimum three (3) years Related experience (required)

Compensation Range: $22.70 - $31.80
