Social Worker; Ma​/Msw Prn

Responsibilities

River Vista Behavioral Health is a new 128‑bed facility in the Central Valley. We need a compassionate Social Worker (MSW) to deliver therapeutic treatment, conduct biopsychosocial assessments, create individualized treatment plans, provide brief family consultations, and prepare safe discharge plans. The clinician will facilitate therapeutic group‑based interventions, perform crisis interventions, and support patients in achieving optimal emotional health.

• Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related discipline. Registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
• Experience: Minimum of one year in a psychiatric health care facility with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; strong clinical assessment skills required.
• Additional Requirements: CPR certification and completion of Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training. CPI training obtainable during new hire orientation.

• Provide educational resources to patients and families; evaluate teaching effectiveness.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention, individual and group therapy techniques, and therapeutic treatment planning.
• Strong clinical assessment, organizational, oral and written communication skills, and adherence to safety policies.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to various age groups, and exercise sound judgment in emergencies.

• Adhere to facility policies, attend mandatory in‑services, and support quality improvement goals.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
