This position is located at Central California Women's Facility (CCWF), in Chowchilla, CA, Madera County.
ResponsibilitiesUnder general direction of the Senior Psychiatrist (Sup), the staff psychiatrist is a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team providing general population outpatient services to inmates.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing psychiatric evaluations.
- Participating in treatment planning and case reviews.
- Prescribing medications.
- Providing crisis intervention and psychotherapy.
- Providing consultations and training in treatment approaches to clinical and custody staff.

Compensation and BenefitsBase pay range: $30,259 - $31,136 per month
.
- Recruitment and Retention Bonus may be available for clinicians newly hired.
- Pay differential of 15% of monthly base pay for direct in-person patient care.
- Eligibility for a $10,000 one‑time recruitment and retention stipend and a monthly differential totaling $5,000 during the first year.
- Referral bonus of $5,000 for existing CCHCS/Ced staff who refer a successful hire.
