Job Description:
Adventist Health Reedley serves the Central Valley with a 49-bed acute care hospital and 60 clinics in 27 rural communities. Reedley is located in the central San Joaquin Valley, close to Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, offering a favorable cost of living and a close-knit community.
Maintains responsibility for providing expert clinical care in general or specialty areas. Assesses, plans and provides patient care in collaboration with the attending physician. Provides comprehensive health assessments, diagnoses acute and chronic illnesses, writes prescriptions and formulates treatment plans. Diagnoses medical conditions, plans and implements interventions. Assists in medical/surgical care and evaluates responses in collaboration with the attending/consulting physicians.

- Bachelor s Degree in Nursing (BSN):

- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice:

Required - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS or HS-BLS or RQIBLS):
Required - Heartsaver CPR (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS or HS-BLS or RQIBLS):
Required
- Interview patients, families and staff; construct comprehensive medical histories; perform physical examinations; evaluate patient needs; operate within the nurse practitioner scope of practice and as an agent of the physician.
- Provide patient education; explain diagnoses, treatment and prognosis; obtain informed consent; promote preventive care; reference education materials; coordinate referrals and continuity of care; order and interpret diagnostic studies.
- Maintain continuity of care including treatment plans, medications and injections; follow up on acute and chronic problems and abnormal tests.
- Ensure up-to-date documentation of patient care; manage medications, vaccines and procedures as needed; write orders under physician supervision or delegation.
- Use cost-containment practices by prescribing clinically necessary medications, preferring generics where appropriate, and limiting unnecessary referrals and diagnostics.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
